ABG Print President, Michael J. Mulligan Presents TCO to Chinese Delegation
Mr. Mulligan explores the true cost of ownership and presents to China’s General Administration for Press and Publications Group during 6 Day Event at NYC’s Levin Graduate Institute.
New York, NY, November 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On Thursday, November 11th 2010, Michael J. Mulligan, President of ABG Print, will present at a 6 day management seminar: “Management Review of Printing Technologies and Future Trends” at the Levin Graduate Institute of International Relations and Commerce. The event will take place on November 10th through the 16th and will introduce a delegation of Chinese printers to emerging opportunities in the digital print industry.
During the event, speakers will have the opportunity to present their business strategies in the printing industry to management level printers from China. The seminar will showcase experiences of successful U.S. print owners, leaders and managers, whom despite a difficult economic climate have harnessed their company’s intellectual power and new technology to increase efficiency and improve management of their businesses.
To help Chinese printers establish a healthy foundation for their business, Mr. Mulligan will outline guidelines to understanding the true cost of ownership of a business. Using this business principle, printers will learn to identify areas where systems are falling short of success and where potential growth opportunities exist. Mr. Mulligan will demonstrate this through strategies he is currently employing at his own company.
“In order to evaluate a company’s foundation and operations,” said Mr. Mulligan. “I plan to give my audience an overview of sound business principles that allow decision makers to measure the health and potential success of their business.”
In his session Mr. Mulligan will:
- Highlight the key components that make up a company’s TOC using the typical cost structure of an NYC facility to show this;
- Demonstrate how total cost of ownership increases as unused capacity increases;
- Discuss the value of premium orders and how they help to drive profit up and costs down;
- Explain how to increase efficiency and drive costs down simultaneously using the Kaizen Costing Method; and
- Present the forecast for digital color lasers from 2006 to 2020.
Mr. Mulligan’s workshop, “The Digital Press: What Are the True Costs of Ownership, Consumables, Click Charges, Maintenance and Labor” will take place on Thursday, November 11th at 1:30pm to 2:30pm at the Levin Graduate Institute of International Relations and Commerce located on 116 East 55th Street in New York City.
