Y-cam Releases Power Over Ethernet IP Camera Range for Quicker Installs
Y-cam Solutions Ltd today announces the launch of their new POE IP camera range allowing for tidier and simpler installations in the home or office.
Surrey, United Kingdom, November 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Y-cam Solutions Ltd, a leading UK based manufacturer of innovative IP network cameras and solutions, have announced the expansion of their network IP camera range with the release of a dedicated POE (Power over Ethernet) range.
The POE range is made up of Y-cam’s best selling camera models, the White S and Black SD. The cameras use an industry-standard Power over Ethernet connection to draw power directly over your network.
The creation of the POE range has come about by increased customer and installer demand, with users seeking easier ways to install multiple cameras across large networks.
Power over Ethernet offers installers and end users a simpler way to install cameras across their home or office camera network, and can use a buildings existing Ethernet network without additional dedicated wiring to be installed, and is extremely beneficial in situations where there is no suitable power source within range of the cameras.
The single point connection allows for a clean and tidy installation, with no need for bulky power adaptors to be used, so it is ideal for situations where the aesthetics of a surveillance system are put to the test.
A Y-cam running on Power over Ethernet requires a router/network hub to be POE-enabled, or a PoE Injector can be used to introduce power to particular Ethernet cables. The POE range will also work with a standard Ethernet cable on your network, and a power supply is included if the need to use the Y-cam on a regular network arises.
