Never Miss an Important Text or Email from Your Family, Friends or Business Associates
Real-Time alert, notification and response system for SMS Text messages and Emails sent from any device to a BlackBerry running Text911 or Mail911.
Trabuco Canyon, CA, November 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- appsFX, a leading provider of BlackBerry Smartphone applications for both business and personal use has launched its two newest apps designed to ensure you never miss an important text or email again. Text911™ and Mail911™ are real-time alert applications that allow you to set key monitoring criterion that alerts you when an important message arrives.
“There is nothing more frustrating than waiting for the business information you need for an important meeting and you miss the text or email because it gets lost in all of the other alerts you receive,” said Rocci Della Maggiore, President of appsFX. “Imagine missing that urgent text or email from your family member that says…pick me up, done with practice…out of gas, need help…or don’t worry, I’m at my friend’s house, or that important message from a client or prospective customer that you’ve been waiting for. That’s why we created these two new applications.”
According to the Wireless Association’s (CTIA) May 2010 Survey, text messaging continues to grow at an unprecedented rate: more than 822 billion text messages sent and received on carrier networks during the last half of 2009 alone, amounting to almost 5 billion messages per day at the end of the year. During the entire 2009 calendar year, there were more than 1.5 trillion text messages reported on carriers’ networks.
The Pew Internet & American Life Project 2010 Report says that teens send five times more texts than adults; however, adults are texting too as 72% of those 18+ years of age are now texting.
Email is not going away any time soon. According to a Nielsen Survey of mobile web users, 46.6% of the activity on mobile devices is still email in the U.S., and the amount of worldwide email users are being projected to reach 2.9 billion in 2010, 14% of that attributed to North America. Corporate email will account for 25% while 75% are consumers, with an average of 100 emails being sent and received per user per day.
“That’s a lot of opportunities for those really important text or email messages to get missed,” added Angelo Ponzi, appsFX CMO. “We have become so reliant on smartphones in our day-to-day lives that implementing tools that help important messages rise above the din is not only important, it’s essential.”
Text911 and Mail911 allow the user to add as many profiles as they would like for family, friends or business contacts. Based on user defined pre-set triggers, when the user receives a text or email with the key word(s), phrase or phone number, the BlackBerry will vibrate, the screen will flash and a specified audio will play, and will continue to do so until the message is read. The user specifies the combination of alerts and the message urgency in their profiles. In addition, the sender receives a notification text (from Text911) or email (from Mail911) to let them know that their message was received and if the recipient is currently active on their phone. And, once the message is opened, the sender receives another message letting them know it’s been read. A GPS location can also be sent to the originator if that is important to the user.
For businesses with multiple users, Text911 or Mail911 can be deployed and managed easily to as many users as the company likes through the use of Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) using the appsFX plug-in, or for companies that do not have BES, they can deploy using appsFX proprietary Portal Management Push Technology (PMPT).
