Homestead, Farina’s Earn Quarterly Distinctions from Grapevine Wine Tours
Grapevine Wine Tours guests judge two wineries "Most Outstanding" for third quarter of 2010.
Grapevine, TX, November 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Wineries awarded “Most Outstanding” honors from Grapevine Wine Tours guests
The votes are in, and the results are clear: Grapevine is home to seven outstanding wineries.
But two stood out according to guests of the new Grapevine Wine Tours, which announced its first quarterly awards today. The winners are –
Most Outstanding Winery: Homestead Winery
Most Outstanding Wine: Farina’s Texas Blend
“All of the wineries received exceptional feedback from our guests, and neither category was won in a landslide,” said Ladd Biro, co-owner of Grapevine Wine Tours (www.GrapevineWineTours.com). “But time and again, John Hatcher and his Homestead Winery drew raves, both for the unique charm and hospitality of the experience and the excellence of their wines. We always know Homestead will be a highlight of any tour in which they’re scheduled.”
“We’re honored to receive this award, and very pleased to play a part in the success of the Grapevine Wine Tours,” said Hatcher. “I’m not one to toot my own horn, but we’re certainly flattered that our winery was recognized by the tour groups.”
“Of all the stops we make on our tours, Farina’s is always a huge hit because our guests absolutely love the food they serve, as well as the ambiance of the restaurant,” continued Biro. “But what we didn’t anticipate was how much our guests would love Farina’s Texas Blend. We’ve even had tours that cleaned them out of their entire stock!”
Grapevine Wine Tours launched to rave reviews in late July. The tours have been extremely popular with out-of-town visitors and locals alike.
Daily lunch and dinner excursions are affordably priced at $59.50 and $79.50, respectively. Group rates and deluxe packages designed for corporate outings, conference and convention groups, birthday and anniversary celebrations, Girls Nights Out and other special occasions are also available.
“As we continue to book larger groups for corporate parties and holiday celebrations, we’re obviously getting a higher volume of votes for our guests’ favorite wineries and wines,” said Biro. “I have a feeling the competition will get even tighter as we move into our second quarter of operation.”
In addition to Farina’s and Homestead, tours also rotate daily between Cross Timbers Winery, Delaney Vineyards, D’Vine Wine, La Buena Vida Vineyards and Su Vino Winery.
At the conclusion of each tour, guests are asked to complete a survey which includes their choices for Grapevine’s most outstanding winery and wine. Awards are announced quarterly and annually, exclusively by Grapevine Wine Tours.
