Celergy Sponsors Drag Car on SPEED TV - Sponsored Ford Mustang to Appear in TV Show, Pass Time
Carlsbad, CA, November 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Celergy Networks, a nationwide provider of information technology and communications services, has announced its recent sponsorship of a drag race car in the popular racing TV series, Pass Time.
“Several of us at Celergy are car enthusiasts and we chose to take advantage of this unique advertising opportunity in the auto-racing industry,” said Jason Heisterkamp, Program Manager for Celergy’s Georgia office. Mr. Heisterkamp, who first introduced Celergy to the Ford Mustang race team, played an integral part in earning the sponsorship. “More importantly, many of our clients follow auto-racing and this was an opportunity for our company to get some exposure in that area. Sponsoring a car in such a well-known television show as Pass Time allows our clients to connect with Celergy in a non-business environment and raises awareness for Celergy’s services in an entertaining way.”
“Our company name, Celergy, was constructed by combining the Latin word ‘celer,’ meaning fast, with the word ‘energy,’ which denotes an exertion of power,” said Art Cormier, owner of Celergy Networks. “Thus, it made sense to sponsor a powerful, high-speed race car, a fitting analogy for the quick-response capabilities and high-quality performance that Celergy brings to its clients’ national and regional, multi-site projects.”
The purpose-built drag car is a yellow and red 1985 Ford Mustang, driven by Bobby Padgett from Perry, Georgia. The episode was filmed at South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) in Adel, Georgia. The Mustang will be featured as the final car in the show which will air in February 2011 on SPEED TV.
