Local Young Entrepeneur Slated as One of Dallas’s Top People to Watch In 2007

Dallas, TX, January 23, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Marketing Lady, a marketing consulting and business coaching practice, is proud to announce the recent selection of its 32 year old President Tarsha Polk to the Dallas Weekly’s coveted list of “Top 25 People to Watch in 2007.”

In 2006, she contributed to the implementation of Collin County’s first Black Chamber of Commerce where she plans to play an integral role in expanding business opportunities for minority businesses. As a board member of the Dallas Chapter of Dress for Success, Polk works diligently to implement innovative programs for the nonprofit organization that provides programs to assist woman in becoming self-sufficient. Additionally, as Interim President of the Dallas Urban League Young Professionals, Polk leads a team towards achieving the National Urban League’s mission of self-sufficiency, financial empowerment and economic development.
Among the coveted list of key individuals expected to make positive impacts in the D/FW community throughout 2007 are NFL’s All-Time Leading rusher and Dancing with the Stars Champion, Emmitt Smith; Bishop T.D. Jakes of the The Potter’s House church and Texas State Representative Barbara Mallory Caraway. Former honorees include Dallas-native and music artist Erykah Badu and media tycoon Tom Joyner of the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
