ACS Dealer Management System Releases New Quick Lube Application Within Service Writer Pro for GM, Ford, Chrysler and Import Dealers
Windows® Based ACCESS Dealer Management System (DMS) Adds a New Quick Lube Application to Service Writer Pro.
Mobile, AL, November 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- “Quick Lube ROs are not new for us. In fact we have we have had a QL module for years, but it was designed to replicate a very ‘old school’ screen format being used within the quick lube industry. It worked, but frankly it just wasn’t very user friendly,” explained Tom Edwards, ACS’ National Sales Manager. “By using Windows development tools we were able to create a new 'point and click' application that is completely integrated with Service and Parts. Quick Lube has its own reporting ability, including parts replenishment and technician productivity reports.”
This enhanced Quick Lube application is a free upgrade for ACS ACCESS DMS dealerships, and is currently available within the Service Writer Pro (SWP) application.
Quick Lube
Rather than requiring ACS customers to purchase a third party application for quick oil service, ACS developed a powerful Quick Lube application within the SWP module. It is perfect for hourly lube techs in either a standalone facility or within the regular service bays. Utilizing a separate RO number series, separate appointments can be kept, customer specific requirements can be logged, and unique customer ROs including checklists can be produced. Service history is tightly integrated allowing both Quick Lube and Service to see previous cause, complaint, and corrections, declined services and vehicle damage notes. The module also provides the option of a separate Quick Lube parts inventory. An extra benefit of being included within the DMS allows GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, and Kia advisors to view manufacturer specific VIN inquiries in the Quick Lube RO screen.
