ktMINE’s Intangibles Royalty Rates Database now contains IP licensing records filed with the SEC during the second quarter (3Q) of 2010
Chicago, IL, November 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- ktMINE, an intellectual property (IP) data and information services firm, today announced that ktMINE’s Intangibles Royalty Rates Database now contains IP licensing records filed with the SEC during the second quarter (3Q) of 2010. ktMINE provides intangibles licensing data, documents and analysis tools aggregated from publicly available records.
From the thousands of records filed with the SEC during 3Q, ktMINE identified and added 86 material contracts that contained non-redacted royalty rates. These records represent 35 industries, with a heavy concentration in Business Services, Consumer Services, Computers: Hardware and Software, Consumer Durables, Healthcare: Products and Supplies, Industrial Equipment and Machinery, and Internet.
The effective dates of the newly-added records range from April 1, 1995 to September 23, 2010, with 72% of the agreements containing effective dates between 2009 and 2010. The 3Q agreements cover more than 60 countries, with many individual agreements granting licensing rights for areas inside and outside the United States. Across all 3Q agreements, 38% are licensing intangibles rights worldwide, 16% are licensing within the US, and 88% are licensing in countries outside the United States.
“Professionals across industries, and across the globe, need to be sure that their intangibles analysis stands up against the latest market data,” states David R. Jarczyk, COO of ktMINE. “That’s why we place such a high priority on adding the most recent market comparables to ktMINE as quickly as possible.”
