Bellwether Community Credit Union Continues Tradition of Supporting New Horizons
BCCU Senior Management will deliver 2,000 pounds of turkeys on November 20th.
Manchester, NH, November 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Bellwether Community Credit Union will once again make Thanksgiving dinner possible for over 150 families. On November 20, Bellwether Community Credit Union staff will deliver approximately 2,000 pounds of turkeys to New Horizons’ Manchester Street location. The donation marks the company’s 10th anniversary of involvement with New Horizons.
The annual contribution is a reflection of the company’s commitment to the community and its employees’ desire to be involved. Bellwether Community Credit Union staff and board members personally provided the funds for the donation. John Gunther, Vice President of Risk Management, spearheaded the project and matched dollars raised for the tenth consecutive year.
“New Horizons has a long standing presence in Greater Manchester and we are honored to have been a partner for so many years,” said Michael L’Ecuyer, President/CEO of Bellwether Community Credit Union. “I am proud of our employees and directors for being leaders beyond our walls and helping local families in need.”
With Bellwether Community Credit Union’s donation, New Horizons will create and distribute Thanksgiving food baskets to local families in need. Each basket will be filled with a turkey and a variety of non-perishable items.
“We are thankful for Bellwether Community Credit Union’s year round support and dedication,” explained Mary Silva, Food Service Manager at New Horizons. “Each month, 6 to 8 Bellwether employees help serve 200 meals in our soup kitchen.”
