Working Together

Yorktown Heights, NY, November 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Guiding Eyes for the Blind was established in 1954, and has provided more than 7,200 blind and visually impaired men and women with specially bred dogs that grant them dignity, freedom, and greater independence. Although it costs upwards of $45,000 to breed, raise, train, and match each Guiding Eyes dog with its visually impaired handler, these services are provided absolutely free of charge.

TFI Envision, Inc. has been working together with Guiding Eyes for the Blind since 2007 on a wide variety of projects - from updating their branding and creating ‘mobile branded billboards” on their vans, to developing their annual report and series of newsletters, to creating unique invitations to their events.

This autumn, Westchester County, New York’s only daily newspaper, The Journal News, is sponsoring “Give and Grow,” designed to benefit local charities by giving free advertising space. In the same spirit, TFI Envision has created the full color newspaper ad for Guiding Eyes for the Blind on a pro-bono basis.

The strategy was to focus on the independence that the Guiding Eyes dogs provide. The ad features one of their clients and how this partnership with her Guiding Eyes has allowed her to continue with a productive life. It is a story that resonates with every reader.
