TFI Envision Collects Toys and Gifts for Annual Gift Collection
Stamford, CT, November 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- It’s hard to imagine, but the holidays are right around the corner. And this year, like last, has been difficult for so many families. Many households are barely making ends meet due to job loss, salary cuts, rising costs for everything from insurance to gas. So when the holidays are looming on the horizon, there is a lot of stress.
Recognizing the need to do something for the community, TFI Envision, Inc. of Norwalk, CT will once again be a drop off point for the St. Luke’s LifeWorks 21st Annual Holiday Gift Collection. This important collection provides gifts to over 2,000 children affected by homelessness, poverty or HIV/AIDS and is distributed thru 30 non-profit agencies in the area. “This Collection is more than about giving gifts. It’s about sharing in the spirit of the holidays and creating a better experience for more people than one could ever imagine,” said Takeia McAlister, Holiday Gift Collection Manager, St. Luke’s LifeWorks.
A bright banner hangs on the TFI Envision, Inc. building front that faces Westport Avenue, as a reminder for the collection.
“Last year, we collected over 150 toys, gifts, wrapping paper and bows, including 2 SUV’s full of toys donated by a group that I am a part of, “The Artsy Girls” group. We were thrilled to see such a response by the community. We’re hoping we will be able to double that this year!” said Elizabeth Ball, President and Creative Director at TFI Envision, Inc.
TFI Envision, Inc. will also be a “Merry Sponsor” of this event to further support these efforts.
December 1st is the final date for Toy drop off at TFI Envision, Inc., located at 111 Westport Avenue, Norwalk, CT. For more information, call 203-845-0700.
