TV4U to Present Nevada Open Championship Telecast from the CasaBlanca Golf Course December 17

Henderson, NV, November 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Mesquite, Nevada is home to the 2010 Nevada Open and Nevada Senior Open Golf Championships December 12-17 at the Palms and CasaBlanca golf courses. With nearly 40 years of championship history, the Nevada Open is one of the most respected and anticipated golf tournaments in Nevada.

The $92,000 (based on full field) Nevada Open begins December 15 with 240 players (full field) consisting of the best golf professionals from the region as well as a stellar field of 20 amateurs. The top six amateurs from the SNGA/NNGA points list as of November 1 will be exempt. Remaining amateurs spots are filled by entries. The 36 hole cut will finalize the championship field that will compete for the $12,000 1st place purse on the par 72 CasaBlanca golf course. Players must complete final round of play to receive earned prize money.

TVS Television Network will provide the telecast of the Championship round on Friday, December 17th. It will be available on a ‘video on demand’ basis on TVS Sports.Com, TV.CasaBlancaResort.Com, and KSHOTV.Com. All three of these IPTV channels can be found on the TV4U.Com 48 channel internet Video Portal.

TVS Television Network is also now televising its popular TV program One Club Challenge from the CasaBlanca and Palms Golf Courses in Mesquite. This golf show, which features top golfers playing with only one club each, was originally televast by the TVS Television Network in the 1980’s from St. Andrews Course in Scotland and featured Lee Trevino, Hal Sutton, Greg Norman, Seve Ballesteros, Isao Aoki, and Nick Faldo. A later version was telecast from the Desert Inn Golf Course in Las Vegas.

In addition to the Nevada Open and One Club Challenge, TVS Television Network plans to produce new episodes of All Star Golf, Celebrity Golf, plus the Corporate Golf Challenge, where the Captains of Industry can vie for the right to call themselves the best in their field.

These new TVS Television Network Telecasts will be a part of the 50th Anniversary of the TVS Television Network, which was founded in 1961 and is the fourth oldest commercial TV network in the USA.

The CasaBlanca Golf Course and The Palms Golf Course are both owned by the CasaBlanca Resort Casino Hotel in Mesquite, Nevada.
