Atlanta-based company Tandi Productions presents the 1st Annual Tandi Cruise Get-Away to the Caribbean on June 4-9, 2007. The theme for this cruise event is "A Salute to Women in Entertainment" and one-third of the proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Decatur, GA, January 24, 2007 --(PR.com)-- A unique and exciting event will be happening on the Atlantic Ocean during the week of June 4-9, 2007 that will force entertainment industry executives, “power hitters” and “movers and shakers” to relax, network and fellowship as there are “No Suits Allowed”! Tandi Productions Enterprises LLC presents the 1st Annual Tandi Cruise Get-Away (TCG) to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Ocho Rios, Jamaica with its first year’s theme, “A Salute to Women in Entertainment.” The 5-night venture starts when you break your regular routine by meeting them in Miami at 2:00 p.m. on a Monday afternoon! No briefcase, no computer, no jackets, no ties… no worries. This tropical week-long getaway is as relaxed as the sea itself; Caribbean-chic attire is as dressy as it gets.
The week-long getaway will bring together people from the various fields of entertainment such as television, music, radio, film, records, print media to feature and have a special ceremony saluting women that have become known as “trailblazers.”
“I wanted the theme for our first annual cruise to salute women in entertainment and reconnect to the mission of advancing the success of women in their careers, business enterprises and in the corporations they serve,” says Tanya Dixon, organizer of this event and CEO of Tandi Productions. On June 8th Tandi Productions will present the Tandi Victors Awards (TVAs) to recognize women whose self-sacrifice, unwavering dedication and generosity of spirit have led them to achieve greatness in their own right. Awards will be presented to women that have made insurmountable strides in their industries. With the first year’s theme focusing on female professionals, Tandi Productions will donate one-third of the proceeds to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation with focus on the mission to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer.
Throughout the week TCG will host a number of events onboard such as a comedy show, fashion show, artist performances, spoken word/poetry night, gospel events, book fair and a number of private cocktail parties, informal group mixers, forums and a host of activities featuring keynote speakers and entertainment. There will also be panel discussions focused on women’s issues such as “Bringing Sexy Back” and “Divas on the Front Line,” featuring women in key entertainment industry positions. The price will include all meals, entertainment and accommodations aboard the ship for the duration of the cruise.
