Symons Capital Management Introduces Two Institutional Mutual Funds
Symons Capital Management Introduces Two Institutional Mutual Funds: Symons Alpha Value Institutional Fund (Savix), Symons Alpha Growth Institutional Fund (Sagix)
Pittsburgh, PA, January 24, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Symons Capital Management today announced the introduction of two institutional mutual Funds, each founded on the proprietary, research-driven investment process the firm has established during more than 25 years of investment management of separately managed stock accounts for clients. The two new mutual Funds are:
● Symons Alpha Value Institutional Fund (SAVIX), whose investment objective is long-term capital appreciation through stock investments that exhibit less volatility and are tilted toward capital preservation; and
● Symons Alpha Growth Institutional Fund (SAGIX), whose investment objective is long-term capital appreciation through stock investments accepting a measured degree of greater volatility in exchange for an improved performance prospect.
“This is an exciting chapter for us at Symons Capital,” said Edward L. Symons, Jr., founder and chairman of the firm. “We are proud to be able to offer our established investment process to a broader class of long-term investors through our new Funds, Symons Alpha Value and Symons Alpha Growth.”
These new Funds, designed for qualified retirement plans and other institutional investors, are currently available through investment consultants, registered investment advisors, banks, insurance companies, financial planners, and other financial intermediaries. Shares of the Funds will generally be available for purchase by institutional clients, clients of registered investment advisers, and 401(k) plan participants.
“Each Fund will feature an equity portfolio, built on our intellectually independent, original research,” added Michael P. Czajka, the firm’s chief executive officer. “With this introduction, our investment advice will be accessible to more investors looking for a carefully constructed portfolio with a focus on long-term results.”
Each Fund will rely on Symons Capital Management’s research department for proprietary screens and fundamental analysis to identify stocks that are candidates for long-term investment. Both Symons Funds are intended to be part of a well-constructed, properly diversified investment portfolio. The Symons Alpha Value Fund will tend to feature stocks paying greater dividends and more diversification across market sectors and industries; the Symons Alpha Growth Fund will tend to accept more measured risk in an effort to generate a higher return.
You should carefully consider the investment objectives, potential risks, management fees, and charges and expenses of the Fund before investing. The Fund's prospectus contains this and other information about the Fund, and should be read carefully before investing. You may obtain a current copy of the Fund's prospectus by calling 1-877-679-6667. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Your Fund shares, when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Distributed by Unified Financial Securities, Inc., 431 N. Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
