Oxford, United Kingdom, November 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Shirtworks, a leading supplier of promotional clothing and t-shirts for university clubs and societies has taken the Cambridge Fresher's Fair by storm with t-shirts printed for the fictional "Cambridge University Lion Jockey Club". "We had such a fantastic response to the "Cambridge University Shark Fighting Association" T-shirts we did at last year's Fresher's Fair, we decided to invent another club to capture the imagination for this year's freshers," said Arron Harnden, MD for Shirtworks. "We came up with an eye-catching logo featuring a man or a woman riding a lion and produced 250 T-shirts for men and 250 T-shirts for women. We also took some more of the shark fighting T-shirts as they were so popular last year, and they were very well received too."
"The students love the joke clubs, and so many were commenting on how they were going to try and pass it off as a real club when out and about wearing the T-shirt," said Arron. "I think the club reps loved the idea of being able to boast about their physical prowess and love of danger!" When asked why Shirtworks has put so much effort into promotion at the Oxford and Cambridge Fresher's Fairs, Arron replied "We have a long history of providing club and society t-shirts for Oxford University, so we have a lot of experience to offer. And the students have such a great sense of humour that it's really fun to come up with these fictional clubs, make T-shirts for them and see their reaction to them on the day. It's always a great laugh, and lets them see that we are human beings who love working with university students, so it's good for everyone."
