New Responsible Service of Gambling Regulations Are No Game at QHINT
Queensland, Australia, November 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Queensland has the lion's share of Australia's tourism industry, and recently made it mandatory for gaming workers to be certified for Responsible Service of Gambling. Quality Hospitality International (QHINT) pioneered the online RSG certification process in Australia, and has once again responded with a new Queensland-specific RSG course for job applicants and current employees with instant certificate download available, and courses that are focused on engagement, interest and fun.
Following the Queensland government's decision to make it mandatory for all gaming employees to hold a Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) certificate from October 1, QHINT is offering QLD-compliant RSG training with both practical and educational advantages.
QHINT was the first Australian company to offer RSG and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) online, with an instant certificate download. There is no need for students to attend classroom sessions.
Queensland has also had its own RSA regulations since January 2009; prospective employees completing both courses simultaneously are eligible for a 33% discount on each of them through QHINT.
Any worker beginning a job with gaming duties from October 1st 2010 will need a current Responsible Service of Gambling certification, while current gaming employees will have until July 2011 to gain their certification.
QHINT has "Put a lot of effort into making the courses interesting and fun to complete - we find this really helps with knowledge retention and future workplace compliance," said Mr Ross Graham, one of QHINT's Managing Directors.
The new RSG regulations are expected to have a real impact on problem gambling. Welfare organisations have been calling for gaming law reform for many years; recently Prime Minister Julia Gillard promised to introduce new and tougher rules for the use of poker machines.
"Problem gambling is on the increase in Queensland, and people need to know where they can go for help," said Mr Graham
