Miami Beach, FL, December 01, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Morgan Forer, LCSW, of Miami Beach, has opened new offices for her private psychotherapy practice in Miami Beach, South Miami and Coral Gables, Florida. Mrs. Forer focuses on helping individuals navigate their own personal journey to feel better and improve their life at their own pace. In a supportive, safe, and confidential setting, Mrs. Forer offers therapy to children, adolescents, parents and young adults for various issues. Using a collaborative approach, Mrs. Forer helps each client create a path to their own self improvement and success in their home life, education, career, social endeavors and their relationships.
Mrs. Forer is a licensed clinical social worker, who earned dual masters degrees in Social Work and Bioethics form the University of Pennsylvania. She also completed a post graduate fellowship in child, adolescent and family therapy at the Yale Child Study Center at Yale University. Her previous work experience includes working in a variety of settings including the New York County District Attorney’s Office and working as a full time therapist to college and graduate students at the University of Miami’s Counseling Center.
Her practices focuses on play therapy with children, clinical support for parents including parent management techniques, therapy with adolescents and young adults for issues such as depression, anxiety, bullying, learning disabilities, social skills, emotion expression and regulation, frustration tolerance, communication and relationship issues. Additionally, Mrs. Forer also works with a speech pathologist to offer social skills groups focused on emotional and language development for children and adolescents with limited social skills as well as to those diagnosed with Autism and Asperger Syndrome.
