Graphic Nature is part of Rap Revival, an underground hip hop movement founded by members MarXman, Even Stephen and FWP. As life long Hip Hop heads, Rap Revival is their contribution to Hip Hop. When asked about the purpose of the movement, co founder MarXman stated "I feel like anyone who is down with Hiphop can make their own contribution, whether it be writing rhymes, rapping, DJing, beat boxing, etc. Rap Revival is not about bling bling, fake gangsters, making it rain, or any of the other things promoted by commercial hip-hop."
When asked about the movement co founder Even Stephen commented: "Rap Revival is about art and contributing to Hip Hop as homage to it for the positive effects and enrichment it has had in our lives. We're not looking for a record deal, or to get paid, we are just looking to put our contribution out there."
Rap Revival has a vast array of projects coming out in 2011, their first being the debut album from Graphic Nature entitled "Diabolical Villains." Graphic Nature is the conscience rap arm of Rap Revival and features MC's MarXman and Even Stephen. When asked about the origin of Graphic Nature co founder of Rap Revival and MC MarXman responded "We wanted to have a separate faction of the Rap Revival movement that focused on conscience rap, hip hop with a message, not just regular rhymes or the comedic aspect of the first project we did "W1S1MC." I feel like hip hop is a tool to reach people with a message, and I wanted to make sure that we put out rhymes that said something and made a statement against a lot of the corruption and outrageously unacceptable behavior of corporations, politicians and organized religions. So one day while we were working on our first project (W1S1MC) I ran the idea by Even Stephen and he was actually thinking about the same thing so it kind of went from there."
While "Diabolical Villains" will be released on 12/8/10, MarXman and Even Stephen will both be releasing solo albums in 2011, as well an additional project inspired by classic hip hop track "Jacking for Beats."
