E-GuideTV Now Installed in Over 102,000 Hotel Rooms Nationwide & Reaching 90,000 Travelers Daily
Following recent installations of E-GuideTV in more than five states, E-Guide Services, Inc. (EGS) announced the high performance onscreen television channel guide is now installed in well over 102,000 hotel rooms and serving TV program information to more than 90,000 travelers daily.
Arlington, TX, December 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Recent installations of E-GuideTV took place in Southern California, Salt Lake City, Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and various markets throughout Texas.
E-GuideTV is a real-time television channel guide created, promoted and distributed by EGS for the hospitality industry and other secondary markets in need of TV programming information. E-GuideTV is customized to each property's TV channel lineup and streamed into the hotel’s guest room televisions, showcasing hourly programming information, local time, date, targeted advertisements and other entertaining content designed to engage viewers.
Currently provided at no charge to properties through paid advertisements, E-GuideTV is viewed by hotels and resorts as a cost-effective way to create a more at-home experience for their guests while increasing their overall satisfaction with their stay.
According to a recent study published by Arbitron, Inc. in August of 2010, E-GuideTV is an overwhelmingly valuable service enjoyed by hotel guests and an extremely effective vehicle for advertisers, yielding over 9.2 million impressions per month. The study confirmed 70 percent of hotel guests tuned to E-GuideTV an average of 3.5 times per day and 97 percent of viewers found E-GuideTV helpful.
“The rapid expansion of E-GuideTV nationwide is something we are very excited about,” says Christopher Stark, Sr., President and CEO of EGS. “Delivering accurate TV programming information is the core of our business. Making TV information accessible to people in hotel rooms not only makes their stay more enjoyable, it creates opportunities for advertisers to reach these people in a highly engaged and receptive environment.”
E-GuideTV currently accommodates hotels in 46 Designated Market Areas (DMAs) and serves hospitality brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Harrah’s Entertainment, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Radisson, Holiday Inn, La Quinta, Motel 6 and many more.
2011 is forecasted to be another exciting year of growth for the channel as EGS continues installations across the US in an additional 1,170 contracted properties. EGS is predicting at least another 75,000 installed rooms nationwide by the end of 2011; cities slated for installation next year include San Francisco, California, Washington, D.C., Boston, Massachusetts and Atlanta, Georgia.
About E-Guide Services, Inc. (EGS)
EGS is the provider of E-GuideTV, a high-performance and fully customizable television channel guide. EGS proudly serves the hospitality industry as well as secondary markets with E-GuideTV. EGS satisfies a need for information-rich television programming content not present in these markets, providing properties with E-GuideTV, a state-of-the-art and fully-automated television channel guide. This also allows national, regional and local advertisers to reach a captive and engaged audience through a revolutionary advertising platform.
E-GuideTV was a vision of Christopher S. Stark, Sr., President and C.E.O. of EGS. Through his company, FYI Television, Inc. (FYI), the leading provider of onscreen, online, and print television programming and scheduling content information, Stark quickly recognized a great need in the hospitality industry and other markets for timely, accurate and reliable television schedule and listing information. In July 2007, EGS was formed to provide that solution, and Stark embraced a two-fold initiative: to serve these industries with accurate TV listings, and to provide advertisers with a way to reach these highly sought-after and segmented demographic audiences.
E-GuideTV is installed in over 101,000 hotel rooms throughout the continental U.S., accommodates more than 72 prominent hospitality brands and has the current capacity for more than 8.9 million impressions monthly. For more information on EGS and E-GuideTV, please visit www.egstv.com.
