Celayix Software Announces Availability of Its Absence Xpress Product for Employee Absence Management

Celayix Absence Xpress transforms the way absences are managed by completely automating the way in which they are processed.

Bellevue, WA, December 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Celayix Software today announced the release of its Absence Xpress product, an absence management application that improves workforce productivity by making it easy for managers to instantly engage with employees regarding absences and the need for replacements. In automating this process, Absence Xpress enables managers to avoid the nightmare of telephone tag which, despite the hours and even days worth of effort involved, is still the most commonly used mechanism to resolve planned or last-minute absences.

The power of this Celayix solution is in its filtering and broadcasting capabilities. Absence Xpress works with the company’s flagship product, eTime Xpress, to instantly filter candidates according to an organization’s unique business rules. It also assigns a preferred call out order for the candidates by weighing the administrator’s preferences, such as seniority or lowest cost. From there, with a simple click of a button, managers can broadcast the newly available shift through an automated call-out system to the potential replacements in priority sequence until someone accepts and the shift is automatically filled.

Upon receiving an absence submission from an employee or identifying that an absence has occurred, Absence Xpress will automatically:

1. Update the affected schedule and Celayix Database to reflect the employee's absence so that schedules and time-off accruals remain accurate and up-to-date.
2. Identify a list of the most suitable replacement or contract workers based on the qualifications required, current overtime levels, seniority rules, employees already scheduled, etc.
3. Broadcast the open shift by calling or texting the prioritized shortlist of replacements through an automated system until someone accepts the shift.
4. Record the replacement worker in the affected schedule and Celayix Database.
