Cutler Capital Management Names Raskin to Serve as Portfolio Manager, Trader

Long-time convertibles trader with co-manager Cutler Absolute Return Fund.

Worcester, MA, December 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Cutler Capital Management, LLC announced today that long-time convertibles trader Arthur Raskin of Port Washington, N.Y., has joined the firm as a trader for the General Partner and Portfolio Manager for the new Cutler Absolute Return Fund, LP (CAR).

Raskin will manage CAR with Geoffrey K. Dancey, CFA, a Cutler principal, portfolio manager, securities analyst and trader.

Raskin has 37 years of experience trading and managing convertible security portfolios. Prior to joining Cutler Capital, he spent 10 years at Cantor Fitzgerald managing a convertible trading group. His responsibilities included business development and proprietary trading.

Before that, he was a founding partner of Founders, LP, which controlled Forum Capital Markets, LP and Forest Investment Management, LLC, both headquartered in Old Greenwich, Conn. He was in charge of trading at Forum, a broker-dealer specializing in convertible securities.

He also served as a Portfolio Manager at Mentor Partners of New York, N.Y. and as a convertibles trader at McMahan Securities Co. LP of Greenwich, Conn. He began his career at Salomon Brothers in New York, N.Y., where he ran proprietary and institutional convertible security trading. He is a graduate of Tulane University.
