Littleton, CO, December 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Novus Biologicals just announced a new THAP11 antibody (catalog # NBP1-49463). THAP11 antibodies, also known as Thanatos-associated protein 11 antibodies, are useful for cancer studies and stem cell research. THAP-11 is a regulator of embryonic stem cells and is in the same field as Oct4, Sox2 and Nanog.
This THAP-11 antibody has been validated for use in immunohistochemistry, Western blot, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence. The immunogen to which Novus' new anti-THAP11 antibody was made is a partial recombinant human THAP11 protein expressed in E. coli. This rabbit polyclonal antibody to THAP11 is provided as whole antisera and is available in two sizes (100uL and 25uL).
THAP11 is a member of the thanatos-associated proteins (THAP) family and is the most recently characterized member of the THAP family. In a study published in Cell Death & Differentiation, researchers showed that THAP11 is frequently downregulated in several human tumor tissues and is able to suppress transcription of c-Myc (PMID: 19008924).
Novus Biologicals provides THAP11-related products, such as c-Myc antibodies, OCT4 antibodies, and Nanog antibodies, as well as other THAP-11 antibodies.
