New Thriller by W.D. Jordan Set in Hawaiian Island Tells Tale of Murder, Deception and Gruesome Deeds; Released by Dog Ear Publishing
Whittier, CA, December 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Panic is spreading across the Hawaiian islands to the village of Kekaha on Kuai’s western shore. The year is 1959. Young boys are disappearing, and many native islanders believe man-eating spirits of legend are to blame. Chief Constable Kekoa Tabura and his bumbling cousin Polunu Mabute reluctantly begin to investigate. Their work leads them to sinister islanders who spin tales of “macabre happenings” from 18 years before. Apparently, Pearl Harbor was just the beginning of another horrible reality in Hawaii.
During the attack on Pearl Harbor, “boatmen,” as midget sub sailors were called, gain access to Pearl Harbor and successfully complete their mission to hit a battleship. But a mishap with their “mother ship” after the attack leaves the midget in peril. Only one of the two Japanese sailors makes it to Kuala-a barren volcanic tuff cone off the coast of Kauai. After 10 days without food, the sailor resorts to desperate measures to stay alive, awakening a beast within himself that can never be fully tamed. The Boatman, published by Dog Ear Publishing, also tells the story of a young man tormented by his abusive father, which unleashes his bipolar nature. A nightmarish encounter in the jungle further scars him for life – both physically and psychologically. These two men must follow their intertwined destinies to their mind-numbing conclusions.
W.D. “Bill” Jordan has lived his entire life in Southern California. He has spent most of that time in the roofing industry and is enjoying expressing the ideas he’s had for years.
