Charlotte, NC, December 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Membrana-Charlotte, a leading membrane and degassing device manufacturer has expanded its Liqui-Cel® Business Unit’s website, http://www.liqui-cel.com. The new website has additional information as well as an updated visual appearance. Over the years Membrana has added many new gas transfer products to their product portfolio to meet the specific needs of a variety of industries. New brand landing pages have been added so that it is easier to find and learn more about the various products and how they operate. Additionally, the new brand pages incorporate animated Flash segments demonstrating the flow paths inside of the different membrane contactor designs.
The updated website is organized so that customers can obtain all product information by primary applications or by the industry where Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors are used. The new website makes it easier for users to identify and select information based on their specific needs. Each industry and application area contains background information as well as quick links to technical content including data sheets, technical briefs and technical papers specific to the various industries and applications. Additionally, a section for Frequently Asked Question has been set up which allows the user to search by their topic of interest.
Liqui-Cel®, MicroModule®, MiniModule®, and SuperPhobic® Membrane Contactors are used around the world for adding or removing oxygen (O2), carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N2) to or from different liquids in digital printing, analytical/biotechnology, semiconductor, power, pharmaceutical, photographic, food and beverage, and many other industries. For example, O2 negatively impacts many processes; it is corrosive and can oxidize materials. In the power and industrial areas, piping and equipment are susceptible to corrosion. Specifically to the semiconductor and ink market, high levels of dissolved gases can cause lower yields and slower process speeds.
Liqui-Cel® Contactors are also used to add gasses to liquids to enhance megasonic cleaning. The beverage industry looks to membrane contactors for carbonation, nitrogenation and deoxygenation. These reflect only a few examples of the variety of applications where Membrana Membrane Contactors are used.
Membrana’s Filtration Group also manufactures a variety of membranes and devices used for filtration in various industries and applications.
