Multicare Stairlifts Supports Local Community with NHS Provider Accreditation
Colne, United Kingdom, December 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Stairlift specialists, Multicare, has become an accredited NHS Provider of community equipment to help people who have recently been discharged from the hospital or who simply find life difficult around the home.
The Lancashire based stairlifts and mobility specialist company is working in partnership with Occupational Therapists, Social Services and other prescribers to help them select items from a wide ranging list of mobility equipment from commodes and perching stools right down to shoe horns and grab rails.
Martin Baldwin, Director at Multicare said: “We are pleased to support the elderly and vulnerable across Lancashire with a range of aids for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, plus many more items to make life around the house that little bit easier.”
Mobility specialist Neil Carpenter added: “Customers can bring in their NHS prescription to our showroom and collect the items prescribed. Where it is not possible to collect the items, prescribers can include delivery from our dedicated delivery driver who will assemble and install equipment where necessary.”
“Items are usually delivered within two days of receipt of a prescription – but often sooner. Most items are available to view in our large showroom.
“Although all the equipment is of a high quality and meets the NHS criteria, the value of your equipment can be used to exchange for items of a higher quality in the ‘top up’ scheme if the original item is not to your taste,” added Neil.
Multicare also provides and installs mobility products including stairlifts, scooters, riser/recliners, wheelchairs, bath lifts and living aids to individuals and councils all over the North West covering Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire.
The company focuses on supplying high quality but affordable products both new and pre-used, and offers easy payment options and rental schemes to assist with this.
