Local Realtor Gives Back to Community
Philadelphia, PA, December 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Giving back to the community has become more than a once-a-year effort for RE/MAX-Blue Bell associate Nancy Helfrich. The Montgomery County realtor and resident recently participated in the Montgomery County Association of REALTORS® Reach Out program.
REALTORS® Reach Out is a statewide initiative developed by the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS® to highlight the volunteer service contributions REALTORS® make in their communities across the state. Helfrich, and other MCAR members formed a task force to team up with Family Services' Project HEARTH (Helping Elderly Adults Remain in their Homes) program and perform much-needed Fall clean-up chores at the homes of 14 elderly residents.
Helfrich joined Re/MAX Services –Blue Bell in 2007. She has e-Pro and At Home With Diversity designations and enjoys residential real estate and property management in the county, focusing on the Blue Bell and Skippack areas. She and her team of volunteers raked leaves, pruned bushes, checked the roof and gutters, and performed other yard work at the home of an elderly resident living in Pottstown.
“This is my second year of volunteering for this project and the experience is just so rewarding,” said Helfrich. “So many of the elderly wish to remain independent but have difficulty maintaining the exterior of their homes, so I am happy my group of dedicated professionals from the area were able to pitch in and get the work done for them. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to reach out to the community that I work in and give something back.”
REALTORS® with RE/MAX Services in Blue Bell are members of the Montgomery County Association of REALTORS®, the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®.
