Global EXPOSURE Concert Confirmed for 2011

The 3-day concert OP Music House held in August 2010 to expose domestic violence by being streamed live around the world, is officially annual. The 2nd EXPOSURE Concert: Because love shouldn't hurt (version 2.0) will be held July 29, 30 and 31, 2011 at Club Paradise in Blasdell, NY. Bands and sponsors are already jumping to be on roster.

Orchard Park, NY, December 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In August, 2010, OP Music House presented a global event to recognize domestic violence as a real issue to be addressed. It was a 3-day concert that featured 47 bands, was viewed from 8 countries and 34 states and even written about on an English website, and as of today, is officially annual. Called "EXPOSURE Concert 2.0: Because love shouldn’t hurt," the 2011 music-fest will be held July 29, 30 and 31.

BigJack Productions (Kenmore, NY) and Club Paradise (Blasdell, NY) will be the lights, sounds and location of the 2011 EXPOSURE Concert. Silver sponsor of the first show, Bryant & Stratton College, confirmed its continued support by again being a sponsor. Musician, Sharen Wendy Robertson, who made the journey from Cape Cod to Buffalo to close the August show, has agreed to return for a repeat performance as well.

Concert creator and founder of the OP Music House, Suzanne Perry was a victim of domestic violence starting at 17 years old and lasting until 39, when her husband was finally arrested and removed from their Buffalo, NY home. Today, she lives very publicly, writing and speaking to educate the public about domestic violence, abusive relationships and bullying, and encourages the mantra of "see something, say something."

"Since the first show, I've come to be friends with many of the bands and business owners in Western New York," says Perry. "My facebook friends are over 4,000 and that, combined with my writing, speaking and photography, helps me get the attention to make my point. Domestic violence and bullying is an issue that must be confronted, not swept under the carpet. I was there and understand the barriers and the excuses we make to stay (in an abusive relationship). Men and women reach out to me with their stories; and I help them get through and past it, to try to live a better quality life outside of control."

In addition to local and social networking, Perry has been an invited speaker at several area organizations to share her moving but optimistic story, and the reaction has been astounding.

Perry currently holds Top Author and Top-Viewed awards for her Knol contributions and has recently been appointed as a Yahoo contributor and the Buffalo Live Music Examiner column.

Updates regarding sponsors, bands, and contributors will be posted on the OP Music House's website and Facebook pages. It is hoped one of the local radio stations will sponsor the benefit show to assist OP Music House in acquiring a facility to open to the public.

The concept of the OP Music House is a music venue and basic recording studio for musically inclined young adults to go; where local musicians donate their time working with them, offering tips, tricks and mentoring. The other function is what Perry does now from her residence - supporting people impacted by domestic violence, abuse, or bullying.
