Houston Attorney Donates $200,000 to Goodfellows Fund
Houston, Texas Attorney John Eddie Williams, Jr. and his family have once again donated to the Goodfellows fund making their 8 year total donations to the charity over 1 million dollars.
Houston, TX, December 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Houston Attorney and Family Continue Goodfellows Support. Williams Family has donated over one million dollars to the fund.
Williams Kherkher Hart Boundas, LLP, announced today that Houston attorney and philanthropist John Eddie Williams, Jr., his wife Sheridan and their family have once again donated $200,000 to the Houston Chronicle’s Goodfellows Fund. Goodfellows has provided new toys for needy children ages 2 to 10 for nearly 100 years. Donations go towards the purchase of toys and other gifts for underprivileged children. Toys are distributed to over 100,000 children each holiday season.
This is the eighth year in a row that Mr. Williams, managing partner of Williams Kherkher, and his family have donated to the fund. This year’s amount matches their 2008 and 2009 donations of $200,000, bringing their total donation over 8 years to over 1 million dollars.
“The Williams family has once again exceeded our expectations in their caring and generosity,” said Goodfellows director Nelle Spates. “We are so happy and thankful for their annual donation through years,” Spates continues, “Their continued kindness through this gift will have a huge impact on many families in the Houston area that are struggling this season because of the economy.”
