Artist to the Stars, Corey Frizzell Designs Flash Website for Hee Haw Cast Member, Gerald Smith
Nashville, TN, December 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Nashville’s Artist to the Stars, Corey Frizzell has teamed with “Hee Haw” cast member, Gerald Smith to create a one of a kind flash website for Gerald.
Gerald Smith is from Statesboro, Georgia, and has resided in Nashville for the past eighteen years. He may be best known as the “Georgia Quaker” from the famed TV show, “Hee Haw” but he’s also a prolific writer. Smith has penned such number one songs as "What Part Of No Don't You Understand" for Lorrie Morgan and "Every Second" for Collin Raye. He has also written songs for George Strait "Just Look At Me," George Jones "The Lone Ranger," Perfect Stranger "Cut Me Off," Johnny Rodriquez "The Bitter Inn," "Behind His Last Goodbye" also by Lorrie Morgan, and many Others.
Gerald most recently has a cut on World Champion Bull Rider Justin McBride's CD called "Good Saddles Ain't Cheap" cowritten with Varble & Denny.
Gerald is also a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BS degree in education. He has performed on stage with Roy Clark, Mike Snyder, Barbara Mandrell, Jerry Reed, Ricky Van Shelton, Waylon Jennings, George Lindsey, Buck Trent, Roy Acuff, Grandpa Jones and many more.
“These websites are not just your average run of the mill designs created by your everyday web designer. Frizzell has royal country music blood in running through his veins. He’s a fine artist with his finger on the pulse of the music industry. He works with some of the biggest names in the Bluegrass, Country and Gospel business on a daily basis. ” – Perry Edge Double E Promotions
The Frizzell family, most famous for its prominence on the Country Music Charts, is now witnessing the artistic successes of the second generation. Although he has siblings following in the Frizzell music footsteps, who have accepted the challenge of emerging from the giant shadow first cast by the family music patriarch, Lefty Frizzell, Corey chose a different path, a path to create his own shadow.
Corey falls somewhere in the middle of the six children spanning four decades of Allen Frizzell, former Nashville recording artist and younger brother of the Legendary Lefty Frizzell and Country Star, David Frizzell. As the nephew of Lefty & David and the son Allen Frizzell, Corey, is proud of his musical heritage, but took a very different path, one not filled with creating music but instead with art and boxing. Although Corey's passion for boxing kept this former Golden Gloves Champion in and out of the ring for a decade, his love for drawing has always been there. Over the years he perfected his craft, starting with cartoons and now creating portraits for the general public. In 2006, Frizzell came full circle when he started creating portraits for Country Music stars like George Jones, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt and Willie Nelson to name a few. Although Frizzell’s portraits hang on the walls of many legendary Country Music Stars and writers, his works can also be found on display in many public venues like the KY Music Hall of Fame and the world famous Nashville Palace. It wasn’t long before Corey began to create stunning graphics and web design for the Bluegrass, Country and Gospel music industries. It looks like Frizzell found his niche, carrying on the family name while blazing a path of his own.
