Ezy2c Launch New GPS Tracking and Safety Device for the Forestry Industry
Australian online GPS Tracking company Ezy2c recently presented their innovative new safety product to Forestry Contractors at the annual Victorian Forest Contractors Association conference.
Sydney, Australia, December 11, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The presentation included the results of a recent trial Ezy2c successfully conducted with Perry Logging to rigorously test their new product a GPS Tracking device with an SOS pendant.
Partnering with the forestry industry Ezy2c have developed a unique GPS Tracking and safety device which switches over to the satellite network to ensure 100% coverage is provided. This important breakthrough in Health and Safety protection offers peace of mind and security to remote workers and combined with an emergency SOS feature makes this product an essential solution for the forestry industry.
In the event of an emergency the SOS feature is triggered by the worker who wears a pendant around his neck. The worker then simply holds the button within a 50-metre radius of their vehicle and the Ezy2c GPS Tracking device will send an email or SMS via the mobile phone or satellite network to pre-determined addresses advising there is an emergency. The person/s receiving this alert may then log on to the Ezy2c dashboard via the Internet to locate exactly where the vehicle is and dispatch assistance.
Mick Church, a Perry Logging driver who tested the system said “The solution makes me feel safer knowing I can alert my boss if something goes wrong when I am working in coup alone.” Forestry contractors are regularly working one up in remote areas and Ezy2c see their product as an essential safety tool for this industry. The business owner Shane Perry was so impressed he has ordered five for his fleet of trucks. “This is a low cost solution which protects my staff and gives me confidence to send my staff to remote areas alone, knowing they will alert me if something goes wrong. I was very impressed with the Ezy2c system.”
Roger Ghent, National Sales Manager for Ezy2c said “Ezy2c are a proud Australian company who have developed our own technology to meet the needs of organisations with remote workers. Being based locally we understand the needs of industries such as logging and we are proud to offer this important Health and Safety breakthrough. We would like to thank Shane and his staff for their robust testing of this product and for making the trial a success.”
