EIM’s April Mescher Named Generation Dayton Advocate of the Year

Dayton, OH, December 12, 2010 --(PR.com)-- April Mescher, Vice President of Travel for Excellence In Motivation, was named Generation Dayton Advocate of the Year at the Generation Dayton Holiday Party at the Old Court House in downtown Dayton on December 4, 2010. Last June, April was named Generation Dayton Professional of the Month, and she was also nominated for this year’s Generation Dayton Professional of the Year award. “I was blown away to have been nominated for both awards, and then to have been selected as Advocate of the Year was a great honor,” says April.

Sponsored by the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, Generation Dayton is a place for the diverse pool of talented young professionals who live and work in the Dayton region to meet, network, learn, grow and establish themselves as integral components in the future success of the Dayton region. According to the Chamber, “The Generation Dayton Advocate of the Year is a person who brings great enthusiasm to the organization as a whole. He or she exhibits the true spirit of Generation Dayton. This person is visible at most Generation Dayton functions and goes to great lengths to promote Generation Dayton to other young professionals in the community.”

In addition to her work with Generation Dayton, April Mescher is a member of the Hospitality Management Advisory Council at Sinclair Community College. She is a member of the A Kid Again board, volunteers for the Special Olympics, Clothes That Work, and the Humane Society.
