Kelly Financial Group Donates to CT Children's Medical Center
Wethersfield, CT, December 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Fundraising for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center’s A Brighter Hope campaign continues to gain momentum with a recent $10,000 gift presented by Greg Hammond and Scott Iles of Kelly Financial Group to benefit the New Clinical Care Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Along with clients and friends, Kelly Financial Group support to CT Children's now exceeds $41,000.
On hand to receive the gift were: Andrea Truax, CT Children’s Ambassador; Scott Iles, Vice President, Kelly Financial Group; Greg Hammond, President, Kelly Financial Group; WTIC Ray Dunaway; Bruce Truax, CT Children’s Ambassador.
The devastating diagnosis of cancer is unexpected, leaving families overwhelmed as they seek the best care for a sick child. The new Clinical Care Center will require $5 million of generous donors’ philanthropic investment to bring into existence a striking new made-to-lead facility uniting clinical care services, family support programs, research and clinical trials. It will be housed on the fifth floor of Connecticut Children’s. Currently, the Division of Hematology/Oncology provides outpatient care on two separate floors while inpatients are treated on the eighth floor of the Medical Center. The new Clinical Care Center will include 8,000 square feet of clinical space in contrast to current facilities which are only 4,000 square feet.
