Best Canister Vacuum List Published by Vacuum Cleaner Advisor
Finding the best vacuum cleaner can be difficult, especially given the large number of vacuums on the market today. Vacuum Cleaner Advisor has just published its Best Canister Vacuum list to assist consumers in their search for good buys.
Seattle, WA, December 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Finding the right canister vacuum can be a daunting task. There are hundreds on the market today and each is touted as the solution to everyone’s vacuuming needs. The truth is that many of them are not up to the job.
However, the right machine can be found with a little hard work and research. It is Vacuum Cleaner Advisor’s mission to work through the marketing smoke and mirrors and determine the best vacuum cleaners for specific consumer needs. Today, Vacuum Cleaner Advisor announces its list of Best Canister Vacuum Cleaners.
The list covers 9 vacuums, ranging in price from the very, very low (about US$60) to the quite costly (about US$900). Each machine has been highly rated by consumers and offers stand-out features and tools. Manufacturers that made the cut include Miele, Electrolux, Hoover and Eureka.
The top-performing vacuum on the list is the Miele Neptune. Costing just under US$500, the Neptune scores a staggering 9.6 out of 10 from consumers and is noted for its extremely quiet operation and powerful suction. It is designed to last for 20 years of typical residential use and comes with a 7-year warranty on its motor. To top it off, the unit is very light, weighing in at a paltry 14 pounds, which makes it easy to move around the house or up and down stairs.
Two other Miele vacuums also made the Best Canister Vacuum list: the Miele Polaris and the Miele Callisto. The Polaris is from the same series as the Neptune but features a combination bare-floor/carpet tool, where the Neptune comes with a specialized tool for each flooring option. Except for this combination tool, the Polaris is almost the same vacuum as the Neptune but it is about US$100 less. The other Miele entry on the list is the high-end Callisto which is capable of cleaning all types of flooring, from bare floors to low, mid and high-pile carpet. It also sports HEPA filtration, a great feature for those suffering from allergies or asthma.
Electrolux vacuums make up the remainder of the vacuums over US$200 on the list. The El6988E Oxygen and the EL6984A UltraSilencer are noted for their quiet operation, powerful suction and light weight. In addition, they both come standard with HEPA filtration. The UltraSilencer is also a “green” machine and the plastic used in its construction is 55% recycled. Furthermore, the motor is designed to use 33% less energy than comparable models and still provide strong suction.
Several other machines for US$100 or less are also featured as best canister vacuums. Eureka excelled in this moderately priced arena: the list contains the Eureka 3670G, the Eureka 3684F and the Eureka ReadyForce. The Hoover Portapower, a commercial unit, rounds out the group of less expensive units.
