The Adirondack Wilderness Foundation Announces That It Tis the Season for Giving
The Adirondack Wilderness Foundation (AWF) is pleased to report on its ability to help save the wilderness. The AWF during this past year has been able to generate funds to help with many organizations.
Schuyler Falls, NY, December 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Adirondack Wilderness Foundation, (AWF) is an organization that proudly serves the six million acres that make up the Adirondack Park in the state of New York. It is the mission of the AWF to be an advocate in providing a quality park through political activism, park recreation, and conservation education to the people of the Adirondack Park, while protecting the park's wild lands and waters.
It is through their active campaigning for funds that they were able to help so many. Some of their campaigns have involved selling Adirondack themed calendars, change jars, book sales from author James Hewitt, annual letter campaign, and much more.
They have helped the following organizations through activities or the donation of funds. Some of their bigger companies are The Arbor Society, Make A Wish, and the Scouts of America.
In the upcoming year, they are publishing a book titled, "The Seven Wonders of the Adirondacks." In this book they will mention in great depth their list of the Adirondack National Park’s Seven Natural and Man Made Wonders. This book is volume one. They propose to publish a book every other year. All funds from the sale of the book will benefit their campaigns.
