Dj Nabs Partners with Hairston's and Magic 107.5 FM for "Dj Nabs Coats for Christmas" Coat Drive in Support of Hosea Feed the Hungry
Atlanta, GA, December 16, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On Sunday, December 19th, world renowned celebrity disc jockey DJ Nabs will Spin for the Cause at Hairston’s Dinner Club, located at 1273 South Hairston Road, Stone Mountain, GA. Complimentary admission for all partygoers that bring a coat or blanket in support of Hosea Feed the Hungry and their efforts to support those in need.
Due to mounting economic pressures, there has been a steady and alarming increase in the rate of homelessness in metro Atlanta. Additionally, with temperatures in the area dipping into record lows, the overwhelming demand for coats and blankets continues to grow. In 2010 alone, Hosea Feed the Hungry has seen a 40% increase in people presenting for service and a 30% decrease in financial support.
DJ Nabs and radio personality Derek Harper are committed to making this event a success, and inviting their family, friends and celebrity guests to support this worthwhile cause. “I think most people truly want to help those who are less fortunate, but may not be doing that well themselves,” said Nabs, “But we all have an extra blanket or coat that we can spare, and do our part. Let’s not talk about it, let’s be about it.”
Sunday at Hairston’s Dinner Club is the “New Old School Sundays Party” with a live broadcast on Magic 107.5. The spacious, elegant hotspot is where Atlanta’s 30 and over professionals go to enjoy excellent menu selections and dance to their favorite old school jams.
For those interested in donating coats/blankets but not attending can deposit them in the Hosea Feed the Hungry drop boxes in front of Hairston’s Dinner Club from 6pm – 1am. For additional information, please contact Katrina Leonce at 770-222-2229 or via email, profilespr@gmail.com.
