Arthur Rosen (McDermott Will & Emery LLP), Distinguished Expert on Taxation Laws to Speak at KC’s Event on "Fin 48 Practical Recommendations" Scheduled on 3/8/07
New York, NY, January 30, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Knowledge Congress, the leading producer of regulatory focused teleconferences, has announced today that Arthur R. Rosen, a distinguished expert on state and local taxation and former deputy counsel of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance will speak at the Knowledge Congress’ upcoming teleconference on “Fin 48: Practical Recommendations". The teleconference is scheduled on March 8, 2007 at 1:00 PM ET.
The time for the adoption of FASB Interpretation No. 48 by public companies is set to begin the first fiscal year beginning after December 15, 2006. Companies are concerned about a number of potential challenges tied to the FIN 48 largely because it focuses more on technical tax law, rather than the usual reliance on general experience and settlement expectations. The Knowledge Congress has assembled a panel of prominent experts to help make these policies clear to the organizations most impacted. The panel will present their recommendations in this two-hour teleconference.
