Family Service Employee Wins New Car Thanks to United Way “Miles of Smiles” Sweepstakes
Mt. Holly, NJ, December 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- This week, the United Way of Burlington County announced Deb Wolff of Family Service as the winner of a brand new 2011 Ford Fiesta Sedan SE sponsored by Holman Enterprises. Wolff was entered into the “Miles of Smiles” United Way Sweepstakes along with more than 2,000 eligible participants who donated $4.00 or more a week to the campaign.
Deb Wolff, program supervisor for the Family Service Foster Homes Program, has been an active supporter of the United Way Charitable Campaign since 1995. She was completely taken by surprise when Family Service and the United Way representatives greeted her with the bright blue new car outside the Family Service Center in Mount Holly.
Overcome with emotion, Wolff expressed her gratitude, “I need to take this opportunity to consider how to pay it forward even more. It’s amazing to win the car, but it is also really great for Family Service,” Wolff adds, “United Way plays a vital role in helping those in need which goes hand in hand with what I do every day at Family Service. United Way exemplifies what it means to give back to the community.”
The United Way of Burlington County uses the money raised from the campaign to support and partner organizations like Family Service that address the health and human service needs of county residents. United Way Campaign Chairwoman and Superintendent of Burlington County Institute of Technology, Dr. Dolores Szymanski, who presented Wolff with the keys, explains the significance of the campaign, “Our goal is to enrich and better the lives of the citizens of Burlington County. These donations help meet these missions.”
Family Service, a private non-profit community agency, serves the behavioral health and wellness needs of children, individuals and families in southern and central New Jersey. For more information, please call the Development Office at (609) 267- 5928, or email LizF@famserv.org.
