Marla Maples Donates Portion of Proceeds from New Single to SFK-Success for Kids

Proceeds Will Benefit Social Emotional Learning Programs

Los Angeles, CA, December 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- SFK-Success for Kids (SFK) today announced that writer, actor and recording artist, Marla Maples, will donate proceeds from the title song on her EP, “One World of Love,” to SFK’s work to provide research-based social emotional learning programs to students across the country.

The lyrics to “One World of Love: were inspired by Marla Maples’ visit to a New York Juvenile Court class that included gang members from different ethnicities and backgrounds who were on parole and were facing life-changing choices.

“Music has the power to uplift and inspire humanity and it has the potential to provoke, thought and action for peace, healing, love and unity,” said recording artist Marla Maples. “That’s why we are donating to organizations like SFK who are working every day to make it a better place for our children.”

SFK’s mission is to empower at-risk children and adolescents to become resilient, productive citizens. By delivering research-based programs that enhance four personal strengths (interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills and improved self-sufficiency), students are given a greater sense of purpose in their lives and see a marked difference in their personal relationships and academic performance.
