Bella Donna and Desperado Headline at The Canyon
Bella Donna-A Tribute to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac and Desperado, the Premier Eagles Tribute come together for one night of Inspired Rock Classics at The Canyon in Agoura Hills January 21, 2011.
Los Angeles, CA, December 17, 2010 --(PR.com)-- “Bella Donna-A Tribute to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac” will mark their first show of the new year at The Canyon along with "Desperado," a Tribute to The Eagles.
Kicking off the lineup of great shows offered throughout the year, Bella Donna returns for one night bringing their one-of-a-kind performance to the Agoura Hills club Friday January 21, 2011.
The bands’ name Bella Donna comes from the title of the multi platinum selling first solo album released by Nicks in 1981. The band focuses on the legendary muse, Stevie Nicks, delivering the hits from Fleetwood Mac and her solo career.
Fleetwood Mac emerged as one of the greatest rock bands during the early 70s and 80’s with Stevie Nicks hits such as "Rhiannon,” “Stand Back,” “Gold Dust Woman,” "Landslide,” “Leather and Lace” (with Don Henley of the Eagles), “Stop Draggin My Heart Around” (with Tom Petty) and more.
Nicks will release her sixth solo album in the Spring 2011 in collaboration with Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) in the producer’s chair. It is apparent that more than 30 years after the chart busting “Rumours” in 1977, Nicks’ star still shines brightly. Rolling Stones magazine hailed her as “The Queen of Rock and Roll.”
Singer Michelle Tyler performs in the role of “Stevie” along with a solid cast of 6 musician-singers who replicate the excitement of Nicks’ live concert show. Authentic right down to the velvet, chiffon and lace, Bella Donna captures the essence of the persona of the enchanting iconic singer.
Tyler was awarded the honor of being Stevie Nicks’ invited guest backstage in 2005 after she heard a live performance of the band via a phone call from a friend.
Lori Nicks, Stevie’s long time backup singer and sister-in law reported on the official Nicks site, “Rock a Little”:
“…a friend of ours was at a club one night, watching a Stevie sound-alike [Michelle Tyler]. She called us and let Stevie hear... she was pretty impressed, and very flattered.”
Most recently, Bella Donna has appeared at the Las Vegas Hilton Theater to a nearly sold out audience of 1700 cheering Fleetwood Mac fans. The band has performed across the western states and will take their show to the Midwest early in 2011, with multiple dates.
"We love playing tribute to Stevie and her impressive body of work. The fact that our audiences have been so responsive is really satisfying to us," said Tyler.
The Canyon show will also feature Desperado - The Premier Eagles Tribute. Desperado consists of five talented members who have set out to resurrect the melody, harmony and musicianship that Southern California’s own chart-topping Eagles became known for. Since childhood, founder Aaron Broering has been greatly influenced by the musical heavyweights of the 1970's and has mastered the art that defined the Eagles.
Tickets for Bella Donna and Desperado’s Jan. 21, 2001 performance at The Canyon are $19.50 and can be purchased by calling The Canyon at (818) 879-5016 or at the Canyon box office.
Dinner reservations are required for reserved seating.
Doors open at 6pm, show begins at 8:30pm
