Daniel Franklin Gomez joins as City Golf's new General Manager while Hector Nicou joins as Head Teaching Pro of City Golf KL Malaysia.
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, December 22, 2010 --(PR.com)-- City Golf’s Greg Petzer has left Malaysia to pursue his professional golf career back in his native South Africa.
In his absence, City Golf has taken the opportunity to restructure the management, with new Head Teaching Professional, Hector Nicou, focusing on developing the golf side of the business, and General Manager, Daniel Franklin Gomez, overseeing all commercial activities.
Hector Nicou:
Hector Nicou is City Golf’s Head Teaching Professional. As a full member of the PGA of South Africa, Hector has 7 years of experience in the industry, specialising in both teaching and golf retail.
He learned to play golf at the age of 12 at Wedgewood Country Club in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. After excelling as a junior, he represented Eastern Cape Province at all age divisions, before joining the PGA of South Africa and conducting his 3 year apprenticeship at the world renowned Humewood Golf Club. Once qualified, Hector specialised in running corporate golf clinics and created successful lady and junior classes, which he now brings to City Golf.

Daniel Franklin Gomez:
Daniel Franklin Gomez is City Golf’s General Manager. With over 10 years experience in new media development and marketing in the sports sector, Daniel has established successful strategic partnerships with reputable sports companies as well as securing new businesses in both the online sportsbook and sports rights industries.
Daniel joins City Golf after 3 years at Total Sports Asia as Senior Manager of Media, where, among his many notable achievements, he acquired the sports rights to Real Madrid FC on a representation basis. He secured over 40 different rights and helped launch the company's online streaming sports portal, where he generated over 10000 subscribers through social marketing and interactivity from live stream events.
