Board Certified Coach - New Credential Recognizes Masters and Doctoral Level Professionals
Byron Center, MI, December 21, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The over 45,000 member strong National Board of Certified Counselor’s (NBCC) affiliate, the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) names the Institute for Life Coach Training as its first provider of training for their new Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential.
With all of the choices in today’s busy society, how do you know you are making the right life choices? Many have turned to life coaches to help them sift through the options and begin moving forward. The Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) believes that good coaches should demonstrate a certain level of professionalism and is now certifying helping professionals. The CCE has recently established the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential as a way of assuring the public that coaches have the requisite training.
Recognized as one of the leading international providers of coach training for therapists, counselors, social workers and other helping professionals, the Institute for Life Coach Training has been approved by CCE as the first, and currently only CCE approved training provider for those seeking to become a Board Certified Coach. Shawn O’Brien, Vice President for the Center for Credentialing & Education added, “Of the hundreds of coach training schools, the Institute for Life Coach Training was without question at the top of our list given its long-standing commitment to bringing coach training to counselors, psychologists and social workers under the direction of its founder, Dr. Pat Williams, Master Certified Coach and author of the seminal text, Therapist as Life Coach.”
Having trained thousands of behavioral healthcare providers and other professionals across the globe during the past 12 years, the ILCT indeed has a proven track record of equipping therapists to become professional coaches. ILCT Founder, Dr. Pat Williams reports, “We are thrilled to serve as the first provider of training for those seeking to become board certified through CCE and we count it a privilege to bring this training to the thousands of counselors and other helping professionals who have been waiting for a credential that recognizes their academic and professional preparation. We think consumers and professionals alike will be very well served by this credentialing process.”
The ILCT is now accepting registrations for the inaugural coach training class beginning in January and expects the demand for this new credential to be very high. To find out more, and to register for classes beginning in January, visit http://lifecoachtraining.com/index.php/blog/entry/311
More than a coach training school, the Institute is part of the LifeOptions Group, a health media company that “Brings Well-Being to Life” by training and equipping coaches with online media and resources including its LifecoachApp, one of the industry’s first secure, online coaching platforms.
