AlphaDogs Post Productions Completes Work on New Pilot for The Science Channel
Burbank based AlphaDogs Post Production recently completed work on Stuck With Hackett. A new survivor man show for The Science Channel where discarded parts are used to build items including a makeshift air conditioner worthy of use in the Mojave desert.
Burbank, CA, December 23, 2010 --(PR.com)-- AlphaDogs Post Production is pleased to announce completion of the TV pilot Stuck With Hackett for The Science Channel. A survivor man show that follows metal artist and engineer Chris Hackett as he uses discarded parts to build items including; a beacon made out of a car battery and a make shift air conditioner good enough to keep cool in the Mojave desert.
Producer Korelan Matteson chose AlphaDogs as her post facility based on their stellar reputation for flexibility and quick delivery of projects without compromising quality. “AlphaDogs can definitely get the job done, no doubt about that, but what sets them apart is the kind and professional manner of all the staff. Stuck With Hackett was delivered to AlphaDogs on a Saturday night with a mandatory FedEx delivery Monday afternoon allowing time to pass network quality control in order for the show to air on Friday. Finishing Editor Sean Stack comments, “Get it on tape quickly is good, but let's not be too hasty. Why blow weeks or months of creative editing and thoughtful storytelling by delivering a non-legal master that won't pass QC? We know what to watch out for and how to adhere to a delivery spec sheet for every program that goes out on tape, especially with such a tight deadline.” Stack continues, “It helps that AlphaDogs is already familiar with so many of the networks delivery requirements, which can vary widely from each broadcaster. In particular the HD recording format and the audio channel configuration.”
Audio Mixer, Isai Espinoza completed the audio mix for the pilot that was shot in challenging desert conditions. Espinoza comments, “In a harsh environment elements have a tendency to get introduced into the recording of the audio, as well as high winds interfering with the dialogue.” A lavalier and boom microphone were used on set allowing AlphaDogs to have alternatives when mixing on the ProTools HD2 system. A Dolby Media Meter plugin was utilized in order to comply with broadcast specs for dialogue loudness. Waves Diamond bundle was also incorporated for its L2, Renaissance EQ, DeEsser and Compressor plugins.
