Boca Raton, FL, December 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The roster of returning sponsors and newcomers is growing to support the fifth annual Allianz Championship, a PGA Champions Tour event to be held Feb. 7-13, 2011 at The Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton and benefit Boca Raton Regional Hospital. The announcement was made by Allianz Championship Tournament Director Ryan Dillon.

Those who have returned for a fifth year, since the PGA champions Tournament came to Boca Raton, include Allianz Life of North America; City of Boca Raton; JM Lexus; MasterCard; Penn-Florida Companies; Flagler Development; 3M, Allianz of America, Boca Raton Resort & Club; Kaye Communications, Inc.; Rosenberg Diamonds; Club Car and Palm Beach Sports Commission. They are joined by long-time sponsors Administaff, Konica Minolta, Anheuser-Busch, Eagle Classics, Pepsi, Palm Beach County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Marriott Towne Place Suites, Marriott Spring Hill Suites, Marriott Courtyard and Callaway.

New this year to the sponsors’ roster for the 2011 tournament week, include Southern Waste Systems, Lilly Pulitzer as the presenting sponsor of the first annual Women’s Executive Pro Am, Office Depot, Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, and Allianz Global-Marine Division.

The Allianz Championship is the Champions Tour’s first tournament of the early-season Florida swing with the Golf Channel televising live all three rounds of the Allianz Championship from The Old Course at Broken Sound Club. Competing for the 2011 tournament purse of $1.7 million in the 54-hole tournament will include such legends of golf as returning 2010 Allianz Champion Bernhard Langer, and such golf greats as Nick Price, Corey Pavin, Paul Azinger Fred Couples, Tom Lehman and Paul Azinger and tour rookies Kenny Perry, Mark Calcavecchia and Steve Lowery. Driving charity to Boca Raton, tournament event proceeds will benefit Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

The week-long fifth annual Allianz Championship schedule of events includes three days of championship play from Friday through Sunday, Feb. 11th-13th plus a first Annual Women’s Executive Pro-Am on Tuesday, Feb. 8th with an Executive Pro-Am Pairings Party that evening; two days of Executive Pro-Am play on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 9th and 10th; a second annual Golf & Wine experience at the close of first day of championship play, Friday, Feb. 11th; and a first annual Allianz Championship Fairway 5K/Family Day on Saturday, Feb. 12th. This year the Allianz Championship has also added a “Birdies Fore Charity” fundraising program through which participating nonprofit organizations solicit pledges from supporters based on the number of birdies made by PGA Champions Tour players during the three-day championship play.

The Allianz Championship tournament is managed by Pro Links Sports, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN. Directing five tournaments on the Champions Tour schedule, all are continuously voted in the top ten tournaments by the players. This reputation attracts the top golfers on the PGA Championship Tour to Boca Raton, along with other legends of golf.

The Allianz Championship, with free general admission on all three championship play days generously underwritten by JM Lexus, the City of Boca Raton and Allianz Life, will be held on The Old Course at Broken Sound Club, located at 1401 NW 51st Street, (Yamato Road), Boca Raton, FL 33431.
