Home Energy Team Opens 5,500 sq.ft. Facility Dedicated to Energy Efficiency and Green Jobs Training
In the midst of rising energy costs and record unemployment, one company has worked for two years to offer a one-stop-shop for consumers and job seekers.
Southampton, NJ, December 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In the midst of a dreary economy, the Green Jobs Movement takes center stage at South Jersey's most busy traffic circle. The unique building design has a 1,200 sqft training center at its heart, surrounded by support and sales offices. A glass encased front boasts a showroom visible from both Route 206 and Route 70 in Southampton, complete with a 32ft by 4ft billboard announcing the arrival of a Team dedicated to Energy Efficiency.
Home Energy Team has grown rapidly in less than twenty four months as New Jerseys leading resource for training, weatherization, and energy audits. Endorsed by the local utilities, many of the region’s top heating contractors, the Team continues to lay a firm foundation for an exciting new industry. With an accreditation by the Building Performance Institute they are participating with the NJ Office of Clean Energy programs as certified Energy Star contractors. With over 1,000 energy audits, 500 home weatherization projects the Team has experience unseen in their market. They have conducted over 100 home weatherization projects for the New Jersey Natural Gas Savegreen Program. In addition to basic airsealing, HET has done over 200 Energy Audits for South Jersey Gas Enhanced rebate program. With over 2 million homes in the state still in need of basic weatherization, it is the primary goal of this new location to provide valuable job training. Current class offerings include Building Performance Institute certification, Leed Certification, and Solar Installation Training.
