UAE Exchange Supports Pakistan Flood Relief Efforts
UAE exchange, in partnership with the UAE Red Crescent in Dubai, has launched a solidarity campaign for disaster relief in Pakistan to provide financial aid to those affected by the recent flood.
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, December 31, 2010 --(PR.com)-- In line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, UAE Exchange, the leading global remittance and foreign exchange brand, in association with UAE Red Crescent Dubai organized a campaign to collect funds from customers and staff as part of “Red Crescent Authority relief campaign for Pakistan flood victims.”
In a function held at Country Office in Dubai, the collected funds amounting to AED 24,409 were handed over by Mr.Varghese Mathew, Country Head - UAE Exchange, UAE, to Mohammed Abdullah Alhaj Al Zaroni, Manager, UAE Red Crescent, Dubai Branch, for the noble cause.
Mr. Y. Sudhir Kumar Shetty, COO – Global Operations, UAE Exchange said, “Corporate Social Responsibility is always a priority at UAE Exchange and it is part of a culture we are sharing with our entire team from the very beginning. In the face of many natural disasters, UAE Exchange has always been in the forefront in supporting various communities world over.”
Mr. Varghese Mathew, Country Head - UAE Exchange, UAE said, “We are pleased to make an ongoing contribution to various initiatives that will help the Pakistani community and alleviate their suffering. I thank all our customers and employees for volunteering in these efforts.”
Mr. Mohamed Abdullah Alhaj Al Zaroni, General Manager, Red Crescent said “Red Crescent’s tie-up with UAE Exchange is an important one, as they came across voluntarily to help us during floods in Pakistan. Definitely we are looking forward for many things to do jointly in the future.”
The event was attended by Senior Officials of UAE Exchange, Authorities of Pakistan Association, Dubai and representatives of Pakistani Media.
