PhoneDirectorySource Launches Background Check Service on Incoming Phone Numbers
PhoneDirectorySource is up and running. This online product gives you the peace of mind of who you are talking to or meeting. It allows customers to look up anyone's information using their name or phone number.
Seattle, WA, December 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- A new company has been launched to help people track down who is on the other end of the phone. PhoneDirectorySource is headed by CEO Carey Liane Milne, who has many years of experience in the online marketing industry.
“The telephone is a great tool for both business and social reasons, however it can also be dangerous. It can be hard to tell if who you are talking to is a good person or someone who’s trying to take advantage of you," Milne said
PhoneDirectorySource is a fairly straightforward business. Users can go onto the site and type in either a phone number or a person's name. If you enter a phone number, the system tells you who it belongs to and where they live. You then have the option of purchasing a full background report on the person including criminal records, a civil court check, sex offender registries, marital status and any history of civil judgments or bankruptcy. Entering a name yields similar results: the person’s phone number and address followed by the option to purchase a background check.
“There are a lot of applications for our service. For example, perhaps you've just met someone from a dating site and talked to them on the phone for the first time. Wouldn't you like to know if they are married or have a criminal record? We make that possible, so you have the information you need at your fingertips," Milne noted.
The company said people would also be able to use the site to get information on new business contacts, the people their children are dating and telemarketers who contact them.
“Say you get a call that seems to come from a charity you support. How can you be sure you are talking to a real representative of that organization? Before you give them your credit card details, you can now search the number from your caller ID and know for sure if they are legitimate or taking you for a ride.”
On the other hand, there are also benign reasons for using the service.
“A lot of us have lost contact with old friends," Milne commented, "Now you can simply type their name into our site, find out their current address and telephone number and get in touch. Wouldn't you like to know what happened to your high school sweetheart?”
