Louisiana ActionCOACH Brian Baudean Helps Non-Profit Organization Expand
ActionCOACH’s Brian Baudean is helping a local non-profit community garden expand within New Orleans and beyond.
New Orleans, LA, January 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ActionCOACH’s Brian Baudean is helping a local non-profit community garden expand within New Orleans and beyond. Through ActionCOACH’s Coaching for a Cause Campaign, Baudean started working with NOLA Green Roots. They are looking to expand to other locations in New Orleans (and surrounding areas) and in Nashville and New York, as well.
NOLA Green Roots in a non-profit organization located in New Orleans. They create community gardens that have a park-like atmosphere and which are also models of sustainable behavior. NOLA Green Roots community gardens feature raised beds in which a variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables can be grown. They also contain chicken coops that yield white, brown, green and blue eggs. What makes them unique is the fact that they sell membership into the garden and members get everything the garden produces.
Coaching for a Cause is an ActionCOACH campaign in which non-profit companies are coached at no cost. Baudean started working with NOLA Green Roots last month. At present, they have community gardens located in Mid-City and in the 9th Ward. They are planning to expand to Metairie and the West Bank in the near future. This model has become so successful that other cities are looking at NOLA Green Roots to come to them, including Nashville, Tennessee and New York.
Baudean will be working with NOLA Green Roots once a week for 6 months and will be focused on helping them achieve three main goals - building a team to run the different community gardens, expanding within New Orleans and to other cities, and increasing membership acquisition and retention.
“I’m very excited to be involved with such a dynamic organization to help build the future of New Orleans. I feel like my job as an ActionCOACH is to help rebuild the Gulf coast after two large disasters – Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spil,l” said Baudean. “I may not be able to hammer a nail but I can teach business owners how to be successful during these economic times.”
ActionCOACH is the world’s leading business coaching firm, and works with small and medium-sized businesses around the world with a proven system of strategies and tools designed to leverage a business owner’s time, team and money.
Baudean was raised in New Orleans where he and received his B.A. in communication arts from Nicholls State University.
