Travels of a Thermodynamicist Available in Audio
Reston, VA, January 03, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Travels of a Thermodynamicist, a collection of humorous and thought provoking adventures and misadventures of rocket scientist and author Rick Fleeter, is now available in full length audio version read by British actor Michael Tolland. Promoting microspacecraft and pursuing recreation on bikes, running shoes, in water and in air, Rick lives the reality that the art of showing up trumps the science of rockets and spacecraft.
”Cycling long distance is not a story – any more than there is a story on how you solved a homework problem or met your spouse”, said Rick Fleeter. “The road and the miles happen and later we impose stories on them. Every essay in this book was a new adventure for me, sometimes relaxing, sometimes harrowing and always another chapter in my life as a traveler.”
What people are saying
Barnes and Nobel, Paul DiFillipo
“If you lived next door to Fleeter, you’d share these rambling reminiscences over your common fence with a beer in hand on a summer night, and then go home pleasantly bemused at your quirky, likable neighbor.”
Midwest Book Review
“…a solid and highly recommended read.”
Pat Dolton, Chicago, IL
“I highly recommend this book for both the young and old. Anybody can relate to this book and will laugh at his experiences and admire him for wanting to travel even more!”
Simon Fields, San Diego, CA
“It is a simple, funny, great read…it’s a book you read for the experience of the author’s unique point of view.”
Margaret Fiore, N. Granby, CT
“Rick’s collection of travel tales and thoughts on the current state of humanity are all gently ironic and philosophical, and frequently laugh-out-loud funny,”
