Explore 'The Real Score' of Getting Music Into Film and TV

The California Copyright Conference presents a behind-the-scenes look at the negotiations involved in getting music into film and TV. Set for the evening of January 11 in Los Angeles, the event is open to the public.

Sherman Oaks, CA, January 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Music publishers, songwriters, musicians and music attorneys all get involved in the process of putting music into motion pictures and television. Dealing with each other and music supervisors, producers and directors can be very complex, but the ins and outs of the process will be explored by a panel at the California Copyright Conference on the evening of January 11 in Los Angeles.

"We are staging a series of mock scenarios so everyone can take a look at what really goes on behind-the-scenes in the way music gets into films," states Eric Polin, Sr. VP of Music Publishing at Universal Pictures. Polin, a CCC Board member, will moderate the program. "The business process involving both original music and licensed tracks will be examined in what we expect to be a lively presentation," Polin added.

Joining Polin on the panel will be a distinguished group of entertainment industry professionals:
