Based on its customers’ requests, Kamweld Technologies has increased its online offerings of molded PVC and CPVC fittings for plastic pipe fabrication. The fittings include dozens of tees, reducing tees, 45° and 90° elbows, unions and more.
Norwood, MA, January 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Kamweld Technologies, a leading North American provider of plastic pipe, has greatly extended its line of fittings for PVC and CPVC pipe fabrication. The fittings include PVC Schedules 40 and 80 and CPVC Schedule 80 tees, reducing tees, 45° and 90° elbows, unions, couplings and reducer couplings, and male and female adapters. All are available for online ordering from Kamweld’s eCatalog.
All Kamweld PVC and CPVC pipe fittings meet both ASTM D-2466 and D-2467 test standards, which include requirements for materials, workmanship, dimensions, and burst pressure. Most of the fittings are available from ¼ -inch up to 4-inch diameter.
Kamweld PVC fittings and pipe are strong and rigid, and appropriate for handling liquids up to 140°F (60°C). CPVC handles liquids up to 210°F (99°C). The difference between Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC fittings and pipe is their wall thickness. Schedule 40 has a thinner wall than Schedule 80. This makes Schedule 80 PVC better suited for applications with higher water pressures.
